Can't we all just get along?

I mean, really, this is my question for today!  I really want to know….can’t we all just get along?  Imagine what the world would be today if we would simply smile at the guy who cut you off in traffic or the waitress who got your order screwed up at your favorite restaurant?!  After all, these are people too.  Just like you.  And, every single day, people get up, have their coffee and their breakfast and go off to work.  The fact that you may be getting some type of service, i.e., a waitress or a waiter in a restaurant, should really make no difference.

Let’s face it!  We all have families, commitments, jobs, etc.  We all struggle every single day to reach those goals and requirements of our jobs or whatever is asked of us.  We try to do the right thing.  We try to do our jobs well.  So, what difference would it make for us, as a society, to smile a little more when we are out in public?

Do you realize if we would smile more, instead of constantly finding fault with someone or everyone, how happier you would be?  Plus, it has proven medical benefits to your health.  Smiling is probably the one thing you could do to improve your health just a little bit.  It is not a hard thing to do.  Instead of frowning all the time, why not try to smile instead?  You would be amazed at how good you would feel in a matter of days!  All this from smiling?!  Yes, it’s true!

So, instead of focusing on all the negative in the world, why not find the positive within YOURSELF first?  I bet you would begin to feel better in no time.  The reality is simple really.  God loves us all.  God gave us His Son to die on the cross for US.  We need to learn to be nicer to others around us, regardless of what we think they may have done to ‘wrong us.’  It’s simply not that important in the bigger picture of things.

We all have bills, financial commitments, spouses, animals.  We all have some form of some financial obligation we must meet on a regular monthly basis.  Heck, even the most financially ‘sound’ or ‘well off’ people have some form of debt.  Debt teaches us to be responsible.  To pay our bills.  So, why are we always so angry about money?  We earn it.  We spend it.  Then we complain if we don’t have it.  That is not something God wants for any of His children!

If we could really work on just smiling more and complaining less, the world just might begin to be a nicer place!  So, what you do you think?  Can’t we all just get along with each other?  No one says we have to like each other, just try to get along with each other.  Simple enough, right?  And, yet, people act like this is the most horrible thing we could possibly do….smile at someone else?!

Let’s be honest.  We are not made to base our whole lives on the existence or survival or ourselves based on what we have in the bank.  As the saying says:  you can’t take it with you when you’re gone.  That is a true statement!  We need to be more concerned about those around us.  Those HUMAN BEINGS.  If we smiled more, laughed more and really enjoyed ourselves and those around us, the world just might be a little nicer to live in!

Just think about it!
